New Born Kings – Rules – Regulation

NBK Certified Adopted Sport Jujitsu Rules

Equipment – Traditional Gi Uniform. Head gear optional, hand gear, foot gear, groin guard and mouth guard. No jewelry. Face mask or chest guard is optional. Groin guards can Not be worn outside the uniform.

Rounds – Single or Double Elimination,(Determined by division size)Two rounds 1:30 in length.When fighters enter a grappling position they have 5 seconds to execute a takedown. If nothing happens, center judge separates them and they resume. Once a stalemate occurs, opponents have 10 seconds to work for a submission or they will be reset to standing positions. After every near-submission/forced tap or submission opponents will reset to standing positions. Points – One (1) point for kicks and punches to the body and head.                Two (2) points for a half throw. – 1 foot leaves ground                Two (2) points for side, mount, and back control.                 Two (2) points for a reversal.                Three (3) points for a full throw. – both feet leave ground                Three (3) points for a near-submission/forced-tap                Three (3) points for a submission. Illegal Contact – No elbows, knees, head butts, finger techniques, blind techniques.                                No, leg, neck, spine or joint striking. No striking on ground.                               No small joint manipulation (i.e. fingers, toes or wrists). Legal Throws – All throws are legal. Promoter reserves right to deem throws illegal for competitors safety.
Legal Foot Sweeps – Boot to boot, boot to calf, and calf to calf.
Time Out – A competitor or coach can call one (1) time out per match for up to ten (10) seconds when the match breaks. During an injury time out the competitor who is not injured must turn around and take a knee.
Coaching – Allowed from coaches chair. Coaches must be silent and respectful toward judges while judges are making a call.
Judges – 1 center judge (controls fight, not scoring), 3 corner judges with clickers.Judge will call a reset if a competitor’s torso crosses out of bounds.A Judge-forced tap rule will apply.        – A judge forced tap is when the center judge sees a clear lock, choke or hold they

Equipment – Groin guard. No jewelry. Groin guards can Not be worn outside the uniform. 

Points –            Two (2) points for side, mount, and back control.             Two (2) points for a reversal.            Three (3) points for a near-submission/forced-tap.            Three (3) points for a submission. Rounds – Single EliminationOne round 2:00 – 3:00 in length.After every near-submission/forced tap or submission opponents will reset to starting positions.  Illegal Contact – No striking and No small joint manipulation (i.e. fingers, toes or wrists).

NBK Certified Adopted BJJ / Gi Grappling Rules

Equipment – Judo/Jujitus/Karate Uniform. Groin guard. No jewelry. Groin guards can Not be worn outside the uniform. 
Points –            Four (4) points for mount, and back control.             Three (3) points for passing guard.            Two (2) Takedowns, Sweeps, Knee on Belly            Win – Submission or Points                       -Advantages are used as a tie breaker. The referee will score advantages in the event of a near submission or                           score (takedown, guard pass, submission etc…) Penalties are given in the event of any misconduct                            (stalling, running from ring, inappropriate conduct etc…)                       -There are no points for reversals. It is a persons obligation to escape a bad position.                           (mount, rear mount, side control) No points are awarded for these escapes.

Legal Throws – All throws are legal. Promoter reserves right to deem throws illegal for competitors safety. No Slams.

Illegal Contact – No striking, biting, ear/hair/windpipe pulling, small joint manipulation (i.e. fingers, toes or wrists). 
Time Out – A competitor or coach can call one (1) time out per match for up to ten (10) seconds when the match breaks. During an injury time out the competitor who is not injured must turn around and take a knee. 
Coaching – Allowed from coaches chair. Coaches must be silent and respectful toward judges while judges are making a call.

– Folk Style Rules –
Equipment
– Wrestling head gear. 
Points –            Two/Three (2 or 3) points for near fall.                         -When near fall criteria are met for 2 seconds. (If a near fall is held for two seconds, 2 points                         are awarded. If a near fall is held for five seconds, 3 points are awarded.) Two (2) points takedown, reversal.            One (1) point Escape            Win – Pin or Points              

Rounds – Single Elimination.

Penalties – Illegal Holds, Unnecessary Roughness, Un-sportsman-like Conduct, Stalling, Technical Violations, False Start / Incorrect Starting Position, Coach Misconduct, Greasy Substance on body or uniform, Improper Grooming, Illegal Equiptment.Technical violations include avoiding wrestling by leaving the mat, grabbing clothing or headgear, incorrect starting position, locked hands.Un-sportsman-like conduct – No Warning, deduct 1 point for first offense. On second penatly disqualify, and remove from premises. Includes coaches and non-participants.

Flagrant Misconduct – No Warning. Disqualify and remove from premises. Includes coaches and non-participants. 

Promoter reserves the right to make changes for safety and attendance.
